“I am so glad I found Angela and Secret Surgery. I saved for years to afford weight loss surgery, and having reached my goal and maintained it, I was really unhappy with the amount of excess skin around my tummy.”
How did you find the service at Secret Surgery? “After searching for a while I found Secret Surgery and from my initial request for information, Angela was on the ball. Every question was answered promptly and professionally. All the stress and strain was taken out of my hands, and every minute detail was dealt with. All I did was turn up for my flight!”
“Aga met me at the other end and again took charge of everything. Dr. W is the most humble man I have ever met, and his work is truly awesome. Thank you Secret Surgery. You have changed my life!”
We’re so happy to hear it! Keep checking back here for more real Secret Surgery experiences, every week.
Mary, from Ireland, is here again with us today to tell us about her Secret Surgery success. She joined us in Wroclaw earlier this year to undergo a tummy tuck, and she’s here to talk about the details of her experience.
“Three years ago, after joining Weight Watchers, I lost a lot of weight – six stone and eight pounds, in fact. I felt great, but I desperately wanted to get rid of all the saggy bits that I had been left with after my weight loss.”
“I started by looking at consulations in Ireland, but they were all too expensive, and it was then that I found Secret Surgery. I contacted Angela, and she was so considerate. I had so many questions to ask, but to her there was no such thing as a silly question.”
“I left with my sister-in-law for Wroclaw, and I was so impressed with the hospital. It was immaculately clean, and the staff were all amazing. Aga was wonderful, too – so kind and funny – I felt like we’ve been friends all our lives!”
“Meeting Dr. W. reassured me before my procedures. My first operation was a tummy tuck, and I had NO pain after it at all. Just a little discomfort, but the ICU nurse was fantastic, caring and patient. Angela also kept in contact with me throughout everything!”
“It was the best decision of my life. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Angela was great, and my experience was made so much better by being there with Valerie. I also couldn’t have done it without the hospital’s driver, Jack! I’m recommending Secret Surgery to all of my friends.”
The conclusion of another happy story here at Secret Surgery. If you’ve got tales for us, don’t forget to send them in by e-mail.
Not long ago we listened to Nuala, from Edinburgh, tell us about her Secret Surgery success story. Today, we’ve got all the details of her tummy tuck with us, and if you’ve ever considered undergoing a tummy tuck to flatten the flab, then this story is sure to hold your interest.
“As a mother of four beautiful daughters, I’d wanted a tummy tuck for many years, but I never thought I’d see it happen. I started the search for surgeries online, looking at pictures on the web, and it was then that I found Secret Surgery!”
“I contacted Angela Chouaib, MD of Secret Surgery, and found out just how affordable a tummy tuck with them would be – a fraction of the price it would cost me in the UK! So many of my conversations with Angela put me at ease about so many things to do with the procedure, and I was invited to join the Facebook group, where I could talk to ‘real’ patients, who were going through exactly the same thing as me.”
“I paid my deposit, and that was it! I sat back and let Angela do the work. The service provided by Secret Surgery was fantastic, from start to finish.”
And what about the tummy tuck itself? “That was fine; my surgeon even came to see me in my room afterwards, and he was there at all of my dressing changes. Now that I’m back in the UK, the results of the tummy tuck look great, and the aftercare in the UK has been wonderful.”
Finally, Nuala says “Don’t be scared, ladies! It’s well worth it.” It’s always great to hear stories like this about happy patients. If you’ve got a Secret Surgery story you’d like to share, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
We’ve got more news from Sacha, who came to Wroclaw in April to make her cosmetic surgery dream come true. She came for two procedures and ended up with three, and today she’s going to tell us all about her experience of a tummy tuck at Secret Surgery!
“The tummy tuck was the first operation that I was due to undergo with Secret Surgery, and it was scheduled in for April 13th. I’d met the doctor, Dr. W, who was lovely, and make me feel as though I was the only patient at the hospital.”
“I had the tummy tuck on the 13th, and it went absolutely fine. It did mean that my next operation, the breast reduction, had to be postponed a little later, because it left my blood levels low, which I’m told is totally normal. The doctor was lovely about it, though, and I knew that their waiting was a good sign – it meant they cared about my health.”
“In total I spent a month and four days in Wroclaw, and my time there was wonderful. I’d recommend the surgeon, Dr. W, to anyone; he’s a total perfectionist and the barely visible scars I’ve been left with are amazing.”
Sacha also says a big “Thank you” to Dr. W, and we would like to thank her in return! She’s still got more to tell us about her Secret Surgery experience, which we’ll be reporting on very soon.
It was only a few weeks ago that we reported Kerry Katona’s recent tummy tuck, when the 31-year-old celebrity underwent bot liposuction and a tuck in order to regain her figure after giving birth to a new baby.
After spending the last few weeks as a yummy mummy, some of the more critical British papers have been ragging on Katona after appearing on a celebrity edition of the popular TV cooking show, Come Dine With Me.
The papers criticised her serving of fish and chips – a British classic – on the show, so soon after undergoing her surgery. As far as I can tell, there’s nothing wrong with indulging yourself now and again; undergoing cosmetic surgery doesn’t mean you’re never allowed to enjoy anything a little bit naughty again!
Kerry still looked fab on the show; for a mum of four kids, she’s still a tiny size 8 and looking gorgeous! It’s important to maintain good eating habits after any surgery in order to maintain the effect that surgery aimed for, but that doesn’t mean denying yourself a treat every now and again.
Angela Chouaib, MD and founder of Secret Surgery Ltd. says that “It’s wonderful to see a celebrity being so down-to-earth about her surgery; no one in the celeb world has been so honest about cosmetic procedures as Kerry Katona, and we applaud her for it. As for the fish and chips? She deserves them! Good for her – she’s obviously maintaining her weight well, so why not enjoy a treat?”
If you’ve lost a lot of weight recently, you might sometimes notice that your tummy’s looking less like the toned, beach body you imagined it might be and a bit more like somebody left a wax model out in the sun too long.
This ‘melty’ excess skin is nothing to worry about; it’s only natural that after extreme weight loss you’ve got a lot of skin left over, but unfortunately you can do all the ab crunches and sit-ups you like – you won’t dodge that podge. It’s simply excess skin, and the only way to get rid of it is to, well, get rid of it!
Tummy tucks are all the rage at the moment, with yummy mummies looking to get back their shape after nine months of ballooning, or simply successful dieters who need a couple of extra tweaks before they’re ready to show off their brand new beach bodies.
Secret Surgery’s MD and founder, Angela Chouaib, recommends a tummy tuck for anyone who has recently lost a lot of weight. “Tummy tucks are simple, routine procedures that simply remove excess tissue that gets left behind when we drop pounds quickly. It’s super-quick to recover from, and when you see the results, it’ll make those months of dieting seem even more worth it.”

What is a tummy tuck (Abdominoplasty)?
Pregnancy is one thing that can leave you with unattractive folds of skin around your middle. The natural ageing process and significant weight loss are two others. A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is designed to give you back your youthful flat stomach by tightening those abdominal muscles and removing excess skin. An appealing side effect of tummy tuck surgery is that some or if not all stretch marks and existing scars are removed as part of the process.
Why have a tummy tuck?
What person doesn’t yearn to have a flat firm tummy with beautiful smooth skin? The bad news for all of us is that even with a disciplined fitness regime, you’re likely to find that time eventually takes its toll. Whatever your own reasons for wanting a tummy tuck, the decision to go ahead with this procedure needs careful consideration. We would strongly encourage you to chat through any doubts you might have with one of our team of friendly advisors here at Secret Surgery Scotland before you commit to treatment. These advisors are here to help answer any questions you have, without applying any kind of sales pressure, so that you can be 100% confident with your decision if you do eventually proceed with surgery.
Your Tummy Tuck operation
Your chosen consultant surgeon will make a neat cut just below the bikini line. The skin is lifted and this allows the surgeon to remove the required amount of fat and tissue as well as tighten the muscles if necessary. Finally, the cut will be stitched back together and wrapped with bandages. The operation will take place under general anaesthetic , usually lasting 3-4 hours. Which means you will need to spend a night in hospital. This is where Secret Surgery Scotland differs because we insist you spend 2 days in hospital and a further 10 days under the doctor’s control. We take after care very seriously.
After your operation, you should plan to take two weeks off work to rest at home and give your body the chance to recover properly. Strenuous activity of any kind will need to be avoided for at least 6 weeks after that. Feel free to use painkillers if you experience any discomfort after you leave hospital, and you should also expect a little swelling and bruising in those early stages. Try and be patient.
There’s nothing worse than unexpected charges that you don’t find out about until after the event, and that’s why we make sure you know the full cost of your surgery before you make the decision to proceed. We have a 3 tier pricing structure and it’s all there in black and white. There are no hidden costs when you book through Secret Surgery Scotland. The price you see is the price you pay!

Call it what you will, the tummy, belly, stomach, abdomen (if you’re feeling fancy) can be a source of distress. We all know how good they can look, but similarly, we all know how off-putting it can be to sport a paunch protruding over a skirt or bulging beneath a tailored suit. Fat and flab on your tummy is the most difficult to hide, and, cruelly, it can be the most difficult to shift. Even if you have the time to crunch and squat, pull up and lunge down, twist and shout all day long, if you’ve had a baby or three it can be nigh impossible to get rid of that tyre surrounding your once-trim tummy. Even if you succeed in shedding the weight after multiple pregnancies, you’ll likely be left with stretch marks as an unwanted reminder of your pregnancy.
Phrases like ‘tummy tuck’, ‘abdominoplasty’, and ‘cosmetic surgery’ come with a lot of misinformation. At Secret Surgery, we believe that all cosmetic procedures should be entered into with a full understanding of the methodology and any inherent risks.
There’s a difference between a full abdominoplasty and a mini-tummy tuck (yes, such a thing exists!). A full tummy tuck or abdominoplasty involves work in both the mid and lower stomach areas, together with a tightening of the abdominal wall and re-sculpting and replacement of your belly button. A mini-tummy tuck is closer to a Caesarean, leaving a smaller scar, and involving no belly button reformation. Recovery can take up to and including 6 weeks, with some precautions to be taken for 6 months after your procedure. The surgery itself takes only 3-4 hours.
